Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5: A Premium Android Tablet

Galaxy Tab S 10.5

When it comes to the premium gadgets and devices, Samsung is ready to take the first position. After the launch of iPad Air 2, Samsung revealed the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, which is more premium and better in specs.

Perhaps the most important change in the line of Galaxy Tab S, Samsung has finally been able to do Super AMOLED-long diagonal matrix and with high resolution. Screen size – 10.5 inches, the type of matrix – Super AMOLED HD, resolution – 2560 x 1600 pixels, the screen is covered with protective glass, oleophobic coating is present. Interestingly, the Samsung gradually increase the screen size without compromising the overall size of the device, this is largely due to the thickness of the cutting side frames (and this is advantage of line Tab S).

The main advantages of Super AMOLED-matrix are low power consumption (especially when displaying black) and bright, vivid colors. For lovers of calm color scheme in the tablet have the opportunity to fine-tune the display. However, we note that even after such a setting on a natural color screen will yield IPS-matrices. Actually, displaying small fonts – this is the only drawback of this display. As for the rest, we have a high-quality screen with ultra-high resolution, excellent behaviour in the sun, bright and vivid colors and the ability to fine-tune the colors.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet is running Android 4.4.2 with TouchWiz original shell of the last generation. Moreover, the tablet is available in two version, the first as a chipset will use its own platform Samsung Exynos Octa 5420 (remember that this chipset used in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9000) technology big.LITTLE (uses two quad-core processors, one Cortex A7 with a frequency of 1.3 GHz, the other on the Cortex A15 with 1.9 GHz), with the schedule meets the Mali-T628 (support for OpenGL 3.0). And with this configuration performances goes to the next level.

The second version is based on the chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, clocked at 2.3 GHz. Amount of RAM – 3 GB in both versions, the capacity of internal storage depending on the version (16/32 / GB), there is a memory card slot, supports cards up to 128 GB. Performance information can be conventionally divided into two parts: the “heavy” games and everyday use. With any of the games tablet cope “with a bang”, but on the part of ordinary use to it there are a number of claims. First of all, it’s already become a hallmark Samsung freezes when scrolling desktops. Especially good they can be seen when switching between Magazine UI and normal desktop. Sometimes it can also be seen and small freezes in the application menu.

There are few flaws in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 but still it is premium with its massive specifications and features but Samsung needs to do something revolutionary as it is doing case of Smartphone. The upcoming Samsung Tab 5 must be powered with something great, if Samsung wants the attention for it.
