College Students Can Make Money Online

As a college student, I was always in search of a way to make money without interrupting my class schedule. Every business I applied to wanted me to commit to certain shifts that I just couldn’t work, and that landed me in the lovely cycle of living off student loans. If you are in college, you don’t have to stick yourself in the same rut I was in. you can make money online and still go to class when you need to. Here are some great internet jobs you might consider in the future.

Tutoring

You can sign up to be an online tutor for subjects related to your degree. Most businesses will want to hire tutors that have genuine knowledge in a subject. They won’t let art majors teach math unless they can prove that they have gone through upper level mathematics. you could probably make $10-$20 an hour doing this if you landed the right gig. Not too bad for a kid in college, right?

Writing

I make a living as a freelance writer, and I know I’m not the only former college student to do that. You can apply for jobs on Craigslist, oDesk, Guru, Elance, Textbroker, TheContentAuthority, and plenty of other sites online. You’ll get an order in for a certain amount of articles the client needs, and then you just have to turn them in in a timely manner. Most writers make about $15 an hour, but I make about $60 because I’m really efficient. If you can write really quickly, you will have no trouble making a ton of money in a short period of time. The possibilities are endless.

Affiliate Marketing

You could work at promoting products for other people, and then you’ll get money any time someone buys a product per your recommendation. For instance, you could post product reviews on Ukritic and get paid any time someone clicks on your links and buys the product you liked. There are tons of ways to do this, and some are harder than others. If you’re a good salesperson though, this is certainly an option to keep in mind.

I could keep going, but those are three simple and effective ways to make money online as a college student. Step away from FarmVille for just a sec and welcome yourself to what the real world has to offer you. You might be surprised by just how many opportunities you have in front of you.
