You undoubtedly lead a busy lifestyle, which means those rare moments of leisure time are all the more precious and there’s no better way to kick back, relax and indulge than at a luxury spa!
But with so many options available, how are you going to choose. Luckily for me, I put in the hours of research so you don’t have to! Never say I don’t do anything for you!
1. InterContinental, London (Elemis products)
If sharing a lift with fully-dressed guests in your bath robe is not your idea of relaxation, head to the InterContinental where for £2000 you get not only your own private spa experience with massage therapists and manicurists on hand, but also an adjoining bedroom so that when you’re totally relaxed you can simply pop next door and fall asleep!
Suite: £400 for 4 hours, or £2000 for a night.

2. Barnsley House, Gloucestershire (Ren products)
If you love wandering through beautiful gardens as much as you love spa treatments, head to Barnsley House – boasting 11 acres of stunning, winding paths that let you get wonderfully lost amongst the manicured shrubbery and statuary, discovering hidden gems such as a beautiful carp pond.
When your feet ache from all that walking, head upstairs to the luxury spa and treat yourself to a foot massage or a dip in the heated hydrotherapy pool. The indoor surroundings are perfect too, with traditional, bare stone walls and an open log fire that transports you back to centuries gone by!
Room: From £315, including continental style breakfast.
3. Kohler Waters Spa, Fife (Thalgo products)
If your partner loves golf and you really don’t, why not treat ‘him’ with a trip to this luxury spa that adjoins an impressive golf complex that’s actually the largest one in the whole of Europe!
Whilst he works his way around the 40 courses, you’ll be enjoying yourself just as much in this deluxe, high tech spa that offers a range of water treatments and of course some decadent facial treatments.
Room: From £190, including breakfast.

4. Titanic Spa, West Yorkshire (Decléor, Elemis and Carita products)
Indulge guilt-free in this environmentally friendly spa on the edge of the Pennines. Housed in an old textile mill, the building is powered by solar panels and uses only chlorine free water in its pools, so you can be sure your skin is getting a truly natural treat.
Unlike most hotels, at the Titanic Spa you don’t stay in rooms but apartments – perfect for couples that like a sense of privacy and space! When you’re not relaxing in the spa, you can lie back in your bedroom and admire the beautiful countryside views that this mill has to offer.
Apartment: £185 per person per night, including treatments and meals
5. Charlton House, Somerset (products from owner’s own organic farm)
The ultimate organic retreat – perfect for girls with a passion for designer handbags too! Roger and Monty Saul founded the famous handbag company Mulberry, made their fortune and then sold it to set up this perfect country retreat just 500 yards away.
Spend the day indulging in treats at the organic spa, where products are made using ingredients from the couple’s own farm, then nip down the road to the Mulberry factory shop where you can pick up a designer handbag at up to half price!
Room: From £250, including full English breakfast (organic of course).
Looking to take home a bit of luxury with you? Why not create your own indulgent spa and hydrotherapy experience at home? Stock up on deluxe facial masks and body oils, then run yourself a deep bath full of bubbles to relax, or try a Triton power shower for a more invigorating and refreshing treat!
Have I missed any luxury UK spas off my list that you think are worth a mention?
